Rhizome

Different apps. One ecosystem. Owned by none.

Clear a stuck copy

Each app page on this site keeps a copy of itself in your browser, so the page works with no connection once you have visited it. An early deployment of this site left some browsers holding a broken copy that kept serving itself even after the site was fixed. Opening this page clears the stored page copies from this browser. It runs on its own — there is nothing to press.

What happenedScripts are off in this browser, so nothing has been cleared here. Use the steps further down instead.

Removed
The stored page copies and their helper workers, for this site, in this browser.
Kept
Everything else. Anything the apps keep in this browser — your records, your petnames — is left exactly as it was.

If this page could not finish

  1. Reload the stuck page with Shift held

On most browsers, holding the Shift key while you reload fetches the page fresh from the network instead of from the stored copy.

  2. Or just visit the page again

Since the fix, every app page clears a stuck copy by itself on the next visit. Usually that is all it takes.

  3. As a last resort, clear this site's stored data

Your browser's settings can do that. It works, but it removes everything the apps keep in this browser as well, including any records held here — so treat it as the final step, not the first.
